This report describes the key RD&D activities needed to ensure that the UK maintains its position amongst the leading nations in developing and deploying carbon capture and storage, with particular reference to a 2020 target for CCS commercialisation and the UK's 2050 climate change targets.  The strategy complements the Government's Advisory Committee on Carbon Abatement Technology (ACCAT) strategy.  It has been prepared in consultation with UK industry, academia and Government.
